About the wine space...

Hi, I’m Priya, and The Wine Space grew from a simple idea: that learning about wine should make it more enjoyable, not more complicated.

My own journey with wine began simply as an enthusiast. Over the years, that interest took me through many of the world’s great wine regions, particularly across France and Italy, visiting vineyards, discovering wonderful local wines and learning from the winemakers, merchants and restaurateurs I met along the way.

What began as a passion eventually led me to study wine more formally. I became WSET qualified and an Italian Wine Scholar, and since 2020 I have been hosting wine tastings and sharing what I’ve learnt with others. I also established my own vineyard in Tuscany, an experience that gave me a completely different perspective on wine — from growing the grapes and navigating the challenges of each vintage to understanding just how much work lies behind every bottle.

But the more I learnt about wine, the more I realised how unnecessarily intimidating it can sometimes seem. There are endless regions, grapes, classifications and tasting terminology to navigate, when ultimately wine is something to be discovered, shared and enjoyed.

That is why I created The Wine Space.

Through our wine courses, private tastings and events, I want to make wine knowledge engaging, approachable and genuinely useful — whether you are just beginning to explore wine or already know quite a bit and want to discover more.

Our WineBox service grew from the same philosophy. Inspired by the personal approach of the wonderful independent wine merchants and enoteche I have encountered on my travels, each WineBox is selected around the individual — their tastes, interests and appetite for discovery — rather than simply offering everyone the same collection of wines.

The Wine Space is ultimately a place to learn, taste, explore and discover wine at your own pace. No pretension, no need to know the “right” words — just good wine, good knowledge and the pleasure of finding something new.
